Forestry Trunk Road

From Grande Prairie take Highway 43 east. At Bezanson cross the Smoky River and after a few kilometers take the Forestry Truck Road (Hwy 734) south.  At about km 10 along the Forestry Trunk Road, you will find the Simonette River Campsite.  This is a beautiful campsite location along the Simonette River, but is a limited quadding location.  Travel about 20km from Hyw43 along the road until you reach Ecomomy Creek.  Just before the creek there is an excellent gravel road to the east that leads to a staging area and quad trail.  From there unload bike and take the 25km trail to the Simmonette River.

At km 40 along the Forestry Trunk Road there is a large powerline and excellent quad trail that travels east off the road again.  This trail is dry and flat for a long way (around 30km) before becoming swampish.

At km45 there are more trails to the east which follow a series of old cutlines.

This area is very popular for hunters during season.
